What lies behind us and ahead of us

Success at the ČB MVP

On April 18, 2026, we attended the International Dog Show in ČeskĆ© Budějovice, which brought us several significant moments.

For Batora Auf Moravia, this was his very first show and a highly successful debut. Baro Zoldmali made his debut in the champion class.

Results:

Bator Auf Moravia
, Best of Minor Puppy (1/2)

Baro Zoldmali
: 1st Place, CAC, CACIB, Best in Show

Referee: VƔclav VlasƔk

Bator and Baro advanced to the final rounds.

Final Competitions – A Resounding Success

In the final competitions, Baro Zoldmali stood out among the best dogs in the show and won the following awards:

šŸ† BIG 3 (3rd place in FCI Group VII)

We consider this placement, achieved amid stiff competition at this international show, to be a significant achievement and a testament to his quality, not only within the breed but also in a broader international context.

Referee: Miroslav VƔclavƭk

Our home-bred dog, BoglƔrka Auf Moravia, also confirmed her potential:
VN1 in the puppy class

Baro – Dog of the Year 2025

Baro was named the KCHHMO'sBest Working Dog of the Year, a recognition that underscores his quality and consistent performance in the field.

At the same time, he becamethe most successful Hungarian Wirehaired Pointing Dog of the 2025 show season.

The combination of his show achievements and competition results ranks him among the breed’s most outstanding representatives of the year.

Baro embodies a balance of performance, temperament, and character—thoughtfulness, a calm disposition, and a natural willingness to work.

Confidence and focus in the field. Grace and precise mechanics of movement in the ring.

Baro is available for breeding by individual arrangement.

Baro - Czech Champion

January 10, 2026: At the Brněnka National Dog Show, Baro Zoldmali achieved another success when he was awarded an Excellent 1 (V1) in the working class, earned the CAC, was named National Winner, and was crowned Best of Breed (BOB).

With this result, Baro successfully earned the title of Czech Champion, thereby demonstrating his qualities not only in working trials but also in conformation.

šŸ“° News – Litter B

We’re superstitious, so we didn’t collect reservation deposits before the puppies were born. Unfortunately, after the puppies were born , two reservations that had originally been binding were not confirmed; the prospective buyers stopped responding without any explanation. We’re naturally disappointed by this behavior.

On the other hand, this means that there is now room for new applicants looking for a responsibly raised puppy from a proven breeding line.

The puppies are healthy, lively, and thriving, and we’re giving them our utmost care and attention. So if you’re looking for a well-balanced, active companion for life, this might be the perfect opportunity for you.

šŸ“© Reservations are open again – we’d be happy to provide more information in person.

CACIB Trio in Prague & Crufts Nomination

We are thrilled to share another wonderful update about Baro Zoldmali. At the Trio CACIB Prague show, Baro achieved excellent results:
Best in Show (BIS), CAC, CACIB, and Best of Breed (BOB).

This achievement is all the more valuable because it also means a nomination for the prestigious Crufts dog show. We are immensely proud of Bareček.

We would like to thank the judge , Mr. Karel Frank, for his evaluation, and we look forward to future show and working challenges.

✨ Litter B has arrived!

In the early hours of November 24, 2025, the long-awaited B litter was born at our Auf Moravia kennel— 5 beautiful females and 3 sturdy males.

The puppies were born perfectly healthy; they are full of energy, have a wonderful zest for life, and their mother, Bejlinka, is caring for them with her characteristic calm and tenderness.

The sire of the litter is our successful male Baro ZƶldmƔli, holder of numerous show and working titles, including International Junior Beauty Champion and CACT. By pairing these two exceptional dogs, we expect puppies with excellent working potential, a stable temperament, and typical breed characteristics.

Pregnancy confirmed! šŸ¤Ž

We are delighted to announce that an ultrasound has confirmed that our female dog Bailey z JanĆkova dvora is pregnant by the male dog Baro Zoldmali. If all goes according to plan, the puppies from the B litter should be born in late November 2025 (November 26, 2025).

We can't wait to welcome this special litter into the world. 🐾
We accept final provisional reservations – If you’re looking for a well-balanced, active, and loving companion, don’t hesitate to contact us.Ā

European Cup

We’ve just had an unforgettable weekend at the prestigious CACIT Magyar Vizsla European Cup (Slovakia, October 2–5, 2025), where we competed for the first time in this top European competition as part of the Czech Team 2. We brought home excellent results and a wealth of experience.

Baro ZƶldmƔli

  • šŸŽ‰ Conformity test: V1, Best Dog MOD, BOB MOD, BIS

Bailey from JanĆkov Farm

  • šŸŽˆ IFT 5.10.2025 — M.B. (VD)

We're planning Litter B!

We are thrilled to announce the planned B litter from our Auf Moravia kennel.

On September 24, the mating took place, followed by a successful re-mating. We are now eagerly awaiting confirmation of the pregnancy—we should know for sure in the second half of October—so please keep your fingers crossed for us! If everything goes according to plan, the puppies could be born around the end of November or beginning of December, and they will be available for pickup starting in late January 2026.

We’re already receiving our first reservations, which makes us very happy. If you’re looking for a calm and active companion who will be by your side through thick and thin—whether you’re traveling, playing sports, or just going about your daily life— don’t hesitate to contact us. 🐾

Bailey and a Successful September

In early September, Bejlinka (Bailey z JanĆkova dvora) and I took part in two major dog shows.

šŸ“… September 6–7, 2025 – PolabĆ Cup (CACT)

  • Fall Trials: First Prize

  • Water Work Trials: 2nd Place
    āž”ļø 2nd Place Overall

Bejlinka did a great job on the first day, and I was really proud of her. On the second day, she made a few mistakes, and unfortunately, in the final event—the calmness test—Bejlinka was noticeably restless, which dropped us to second place. However, she went into heat that evening, so her restlessness was most likely caused by hormonal changes.

šŸ“… September 12, 2025 – Josef NovĆ”k Memorial (Czech Republic Field Trial Championship)
Facing stiff competition, Bailey placed second in her heat, received a very good T.B. rating , and finished fourth out of 17 dogs.

We are very pleased with her performance and would like to thank the organizers and judges for giving us the opportunity to participate in these prestigious trials.

Club BOB

August 18, 2025 – Gundog Specialty Show

The very next day after the Field Trial, Bar and I also participated in the Gundog Specialty Show, where he competed in the working class.

And the result? V1, CAC, Best Dog (Club Winner), and the BOB title! šŸŽ‰

A huge success for me—last year, in the junior class, he won the title of Club Junior Winner, BOB, and even JBIS, and this year, in the adult class, he managed to build on that success and defend his BOB title against nine other dogs.

I am incredibly proud of how Baro carried himself—not only in appearance, but also in his temperament and the elegance characteristic of the Wire-haired Hungarian Pointer breed.

NFT and Derby at KCHHMO

August 17, 2025 – KCHHMO National Field Trial and Derby

This weekend, we participated in the National Field Trial and Derby, organized by the Club of Rough-Coated and Hungarian Pointing Dog Breeders. A total of 64 dogs competed, 16 of them in the Derby.

And the results for our kennel were better than expected:

  • Baro Zoldmali competedin the Derby – solo, where he placeda fine2nd out of a strong field of 16 dogs, receiving a rating of Very Good 2 (T.B.2).

  • Bailey from JanĆkov Farm competed inthe highly competitiveKontinental Autumn Field Trial (NFT) and received a "very good" (T.B.) rating.

I never would have thought that both dogs would perform so well at such a demanding and prestigious event. Once again, it turned out that Baro can shine even alongside the more experienced Bejlinka.

A big thank you goes to Petr Zoubek, who introduced us to field trials and has been systematically training us. We couldn’t have done it without his guidance.

Hydraulic tests

August 2, 2025 – Water Work Tests

In early August, we took our two dogs, Baro ZƶldmĆ”li and Bailey z JanĆkova dvora, to the Water Work Trials organized by the MladĆ” Boleslav Dog Breeders’ Club.

Both dogs gave wonderful performances and passed their tests with first-class honors.

  • Baro finished in an excellent 4th place out of 16 competitors.

  • Bailey finished in 9th place.

We are absolutely thrilled that both of them passed this test with such excellent results and demonstrated their working abilities in the water as well.

Baro: Eye Exam

Unfortunately, we weren’t spared from this little nuisance either, so Bar and I visited a specialized ophthalmology clinic. Fortunately, it missed the eye and remained in the soft tissue, where we hope it will soon be absorbed.Ā

On that occasion, we requested testing for hereditary eye diseases (DOO / KP-HED), and we were very pleased with the results:

šŸ˜ DOO plain

🤩 HED unaffected

Health test results

We are delighted to share the excellent results of our dog Bara Zƶldmali’s genetic tests.

šŸ”¬ Degenerative myelopathy (DM): N/N
šŸ”¬ Hyperuricosuria (HUU): N/N
šŸ”¬ Long-haired gene (G284T variant): does not carry the gene

Baro has therefore tested negative in all areas and is not a carrier of any of the genetic diseases listed. This is excellent news, especially with regard to his future use in breeding.

Baro & Bailey – A Winning Debut and Plans for the Future

At the club show for hunting breeds, held as part of the European Dog Show, we presented our pair, Baro Zoldmali and Bailey z JanĆkova dvora, for the first time. It was their joint show debut, and an immediate victory —among 17 entered pairs, they won the title of Best Couple of the ShowšŸ„‡šŸ†šŸ’–šŸ’„šŸ¤©!

We also have some big news— Baro has officially become a stud dog. The pairing of these two beautiful, healthy dogs, both successful in shows and at work, is now moving in a clear direction.

At the earliest opportunity—likely toward the end of the year—and if everything goes as planned, we can look forward to the "B" litter from our Auf Moravia kennel. It will be Bejlinka’s first litter and the first puppies from this exceptional pair.

Follow us—we look forward to seeing you!

KZV Å těpĆ”nov

With great humility, we took the club aptitude test on October 12, 2024. The participants included experienced, high-quality dogs, and Baro is only 12 months old, so I went into it thinking we’d just show what we could do and see how it turned out.

Baro set a fast pace right from the start, and thanks to his excellent technique, he soon located, flushed out, and flushed down the bird. He then found a hare’s trail, but unfortunately the hare was gone and we couldn’t track it down. After a great performance in the field, we received all 4s and one 3 because we didn’t find the hare.

In the end, two other dogs received the same grade. And since Baro was the youngest participant in the exams—and thus the youngest of them all—he earned a beautiful First place and the CACT title šŸ’„ā¤šŸŽ‰.

Talent Trials - Winner

Bareček celebrated on Saturday, September 21, 2024 1 year šŸŽ‚ And the following weekend, on September 28, 2024, we attended the aptitude tests organized by OMS Prague-East in cooperation with MS Hrusice and HS KaliÅ”tě.

The terrain was challenging—horseshoe-shaped and downhill—but fortunately there were a few patches of unmowed grass. Bareček started off with a very nice pattern at his usual steady pace. We came across a hare, two does, and, right at the very end, a wild pheasant. He pointed and flushed them all beautifully. And for the most part, he listened perfectly, only correctly ignoring my nonsensical commands when the wind shifted. 😁.

Bareček was the only one to earn straight 4s for this performance, which catapulted us to first place šŸ„‡ First place with 228 points āœØšŸŽ‰šŸŽˆ.Ā

So we’ve already earned the ZV and PZ in the first class, and next year we’ll focus on improving our score in Water Work.

International, Czech, and Slovak Champion

August 31, 2024: At11 monthsold, Bareček becamean International, Czech, and Slovak Junior Beauty Champion.

Once again, he triumphed at the Floracanis Olomouc International Dog Show, winning Best in Show (BIS), CAJC, Best of Junior (BOJ), Best of Breed (BOB), and CACIB-J. With this, he confirmed his titles as Czech and International Champion.

Moreover, he excelled in the final competitions despite the fierce competition, achieving an outstanding result:

✨ 3rd Place, Junior Best in Group, FCI VII

✨ 5th Place, Best in Group FCI VII

This marks the end of the show season.

Joint Exhibition in ZƔkupy

August 10, 2024: Baro was named Best Junior of the Show and earned the JBIS titleāœØšŸŽ‰šŸŽˆā£.

Agi led Barečka all day, and her successful run began right in the morning in the ring, where we earned a First Place and Best Junior in Class, advancing to the Best of Breed competition. That took place in the afternoon.

In the sweltering heat, we managed to win not only Best of Breed but, for the first time ever, Best of Breed šŸŽ‡, which moved us on to the two Best in Show finals.

And Bareček pulled off a fantastic surprise and won Best in Show at the special exhibition in ZĆ”kupy in the junior category šŸŽˆšŸ’„šŸŽ€ā™„.

First tests

Over the weekend of August 3–4, 2024, we took part in our first trials. And it was a big debut—Bareček’s first trials and mine as a handler as well.

The 5th annual J. Hrabal Memorial included PZ and ZVP and was truly challenging. Bareček successfully completed both days, and I’m so proud of him šŸ’—.

At 10 months old, Baro earned his PZ with a first-place finish āœØšŸŽ‰ā¤šŸŽˆ. The ZVP trials were more challenging, but we completed them with flying colors.Ā

It was clear that Bareček was still just a puppy and didn’t have an experienced handler. But we have to start somewhere. A long, challenging, but exciting journey lies ahead of us šŸ€ā˜ŗ

Preparing for exams

Baro is already 10 months old; he seems to be maturing very well. He’s sensible, a quick learner, and quickly grasps what’s expected of him. We’re actively preparing Baro for his first testing season in 2024.

He has improved his field work; we’re fine-tuning his game pointing, and we’re very pleasantly surprised by his scent work and retrieves, which he clearly enjoys. His wire-haired coat confirms that he handles working in the reeds quite well. For his age, he shows some nice game retrieves, even in the water.

We’re looking forward not only to his first test, but also to his owner’s first experience as his handler. Keep your fingers crossed for us šŸ¤žā¤šŸ€

Thank you to everyone who helps us train him šŸ™.

Exhibitions in one place

Bareček and I have embarked on a show marathon. First in the puppy class, then in the junior class, and now he’s in the young adult class.

You can follow along with us on his new page to see how he’s doing, what he’s like, what he’s achieved so far, and what we think his potential is.

First weekend training session

March 30–31, 2024:We completed our first weekend training session. It was quite challenging for Bareček, but it was a great experience to soak up the atmosphere, meet lots of other dogs, and hear lots of gunshots.

We still have a lot of work to do in the field—he still wants to play with the game šŸ™ˆ. He loves water, and he pleasantly surprised me during his first experience with paint; I was thrilled by his calmness and relaxed reaction to the gunfire. We’re looking forward to more training sessions 😊

Baro and His First Exhibition

March 16, 2024: We took part in Bareček’s first dog show, held at Å pilberk in Brno, in the puppy class (Bar is 5.5 months old).

I enlisted the help of KarolĆna FĆ”rkovĆ”, who handled Bareček. Considering it was his first show, he did very well—he tried his best to stand nicely (KarolĆna worked up a bit of a sweat, but it all worked out), and overall he made us very happy.

Judge Karel Frank described Bara as a ā€œbeautiful dogā€ and awarded him a VN1 šŸ˜. Judge's comments: Already a typical representative of the breed, excellent breed characteristics, color, and build; excellent topline and chest conformation even for his age; presents himself superbly; excellent movement. ā¤

Pregnancy confirmed

March 11, 2024: We’re so happy—the vet confirmed the pregnancy ā¤.

We are looking forward to the upcoming "A" litter.

Mating. What's next?

February 10–12, 2024, Hungary

Bejlinka took an instant liking to her groom, Čert Budafa. It was a lovely evening with romantic lighting, so they just went for it :).

Even though, as you can see from the photo, Budafa the Devil is quite a big dog, she handled it just fine the first time. The second time, she was really looking forward to it, and as we got closer, she was beside herself with joy. The second mating went more smoothly, and we left feeling happy and satisfied with a lovely day.

What's next? We're confident everything will turn out well! If everything goes according to plan, you can follow the entire process with us here.

IMG_3381

It's mating season!

29.1.2024: She has been in heat for a week now 😊 and we’re keeping a close eye on her hormone levels so we can take her to be bred at the perfect time. The handsome Čert Budafa is already looking forward to meeting Bejlinka 😊.

We’ll know the exact litter date soon; it will likely be in early or mid-April 2024. The puppies will then be ready for pickup around early or mid-June 2024.

We’re already starting to get a lot of reservations. So if you’re thinking about getting a calm and even-tempered MOD with excellent hunting instincts, please contact us.

A Four-Legged Christmas

Christmas is even more magical with our wonderful friends🐾🐾🐾!

We wish you good luck, love, and happiness during this festive season. May the light of Christmas warm your hearts and bring plenty of joy and happiness to your homes.

The Auf Moravia Kennel wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

New puppy

promising new addition

For some time now, we’ve been thinking about adding a male dog to our breeding program—one who isn’t closely related to Bejlinka—so that we can breed them together in the future. We were looking for a male dog with excellent potential for hunting, dog shows, and breeding. We sought out high-quality parents who had proven their abilities both in the field and at dog shows.

The decision was made, and on November 17, 2023, we brought a puppy home šŸ˜. We could have named him with a name starting with "B," and the name BARO was chosen.

So, let us introduce you to our new dog: ZoldmÔli BÔró.

Ā

Baro is a descendant of two unique dogs from the Zoldmali kennel: Sir Extreme and Dam Unicum. We’ve seen both parents; they have a thick coat and are calm and well-balanced, which is very important to us.

  • Extreme won the International Field Trial, International Versatile Champion, and Hungarian Versatile Work Champion. He also holds impressive show titles, such as Hungarian Grand Champion (HGCH), Hungarian Champion (HCH), Hungarian Junior Champion (HJCH), German Winner 2017, Champion of Champions 2016, etc…
  • Unicum is a multiple show winner (Hungarian Champion (HCH), Hungarian Junior Champion (HJCH), 4 x HPJ, resCACIB, 3x CACIB, 5x CAC, 4x JBOB, 4x BOS….) and passed all her working trials with a first-class rating.

Planned "A" Litter

Puppy Planning

Bailey is already 3½ years old, so we decided it was time for her first litter. This is all new to us, so the search for a stud dog has begun šŸ˜‰.Ā

Since Bejlinka is a bit smaller and has a softer coat, we wanted a healthy dog with a thick coat—and, of course, excellent temperament—so that the puppies would be as wonderful as possible.

That’s why we chose a handsome guy who fits the bill perfectly. Everything’s been arranged, and we’re just waiting for her to go into heat.

KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED FOR US!
