HUNGARIAN WIREHAIRED POINTING DOG

ABOUT US

I would like to introduce you to the new “Auf Moravia” Hungarian Wirehaired Pointing Dog kennel.

We got our first female dog, Bailey from Janíkov’s Farm, for walks through the forests and beautiful countryside of South Moravia, where we love to spend our free time. But as is often the case, we soon discovered her passion for hunting, and after showing her to a professional, her hunting talent was confirmed. And so began my journey into hunting training, 100% care, and upbringing.

The main goal of the "Auf Moravia" kennel is to breed and raise happy, healthy, and well-balanced MOD dogs that possess a stable temperament, good hunting instincts, and produce wonderful offspring, thereby contributing to the expansion of this wonderful breed.

We focus on a single breed, which was selected with an emphasis on health, temperament, and beauty.

We take care of every aspect of our dogs’ well-being, including nutrition, healthcare, socialization, and training. Bailey and Baro are members of the family and are raised with love and care.

Hungarian Wirehaired Pointing Dog

MOD

Is that a Vizsla? Every bit of one! Just calmer and wire-haired.

Of course, there are differences. The most important ones—aside from their cute little beards—are the Wirehaired’s resistance to weather and water, as well as their overall toughness. And they aren’t as “crazy”; they have a calmer temperament, even though they’re still very active. But don’t worry, their coarser coat is easy to maintain and has the advantage of not holding onto dirt. Well, not for long 😉

FieldGuard

🐾 When field experience
leads to a solution

Thorns are among the most common and dangerous causes of eye injuries in dogs.
We encounter them daily with active and working dogs—in fields, meadows, and thickets.

It was precisely a thorn in the eye that kept recurring in my dog, Bar. Although he’s in great shape and used to working in rough terrain, a brief run through tall grass was enough to cause a painful problem requiring veterinary attention.

I was looking for a practical and preventive solution that would protect my dog without restricting his movement or work. That’s how I came across the FieldGuard thorn-repellent product from OutFox for Dogs — a patented eye protection system designed specifically for dogs active in the field.

FieldGuard was developed for working dogs, but it is suitable for all active dogs that spend time in tall grass, meadows, or the great outdoors. It is a preventive measure that can significantly reduce the risk of eye injuries caused by thistles.

Based on my personal experience and long-standing involvement with both working and hunting dogs, I have decided to become an official licensed distributor of this product for the Czech Republic and neighboring countries.
